1st two Concentration Project images

This is a manipulation of a linoleum print. My original piece resembled more of a snowflake pattern with three of the same prints, but I like the way I have changed it here. I cut out individual planes to give the piece more of a focal point. Through working on this piece I have learned that I need to think more outside the box. I am inspired to make my planes come up off the page to make them more visually interesting.

I love this piece. My original drawing which consisted of only the plane and lines drawn with micron pens was very boring and unprofessional. The way I approached editing this piece was to use my x-taco knife to cut out the plane and white spaces of the page. I wanted to reach the next dimension by making my drawing stand up off the page like I did in the card project. The collage in the background is colorful and constants with the black patterns of the interference patterns of the plane.

My concentration so far has changed in that I want to experiment more with patterns and possibly use a spirograph to create my own patterns. What I do plan on doing is keeping the theme of airplanes and flight. I realize that there is no limit to what I can do and I want to experiment with many different mediums such as paint, and paper cutting, and even building my own planes.
